Re: Frightening...

According to 'Peakware': "Officially Lingtren has not been climbed. But the dutch climber Bart Vos who climbed Everest(84), Cho Oyu(87,solo) and Dhaulagiri(96,solo) reports in his book that deals also with his climb on Dhaulagiri that he climbed some mountains illegal (solo), off season at the end of 1993 including Pumori, Lingtren and Khumbutse from the Tibetan side."

Re: Frightening...

According to the Himalayan Database, first ascent of Lingtren was in 1935 by Eric Shipton and Dan Bryant during an Everest recognition expedition.

Interestingly, no other ascent or attempt on Lingtren is reported in the Himalayan Database.

Condition

Wow that wall is really impressive, it looks like it is all powder though, do you know if it is powder or solid. If it were solid that would be an amazing climb!
