Re: cool !Yes, our house is across the canyon from this spot, and we spotted this lion while eating breakfast that morning. Later I went out to investigate. I haven't seen any fresh tracks lately.... maybe someday, one of us will get that lion shot. :0)

I am very careful while hiking by myself. I take great care to being aware of my surroundings, including smells, tracks, bird calls, etc. I don't carry a gun, or spray, though some of my family think I should.
There is plenty of wild food (deer, rabbit, elk) in the area, so I trust the lions are well fed. To my knowledge there have never been lion attacks on this side of CO.
I don't let my grandkids play outside unattended though. :0)
