I guess the trick is to start early. Started at Little Hole Trailhead just after sunrise at 7:20 a.m. Reached the dam by 10:30. I noted the first boat around 9:30. As I got closer to the dam, more of them appeared but still not too many. It was the perfect day to be on the water, sunny and hot.
