Route Climbed: Salamón - West summit Date Climbed: 26-March-2005  Sucess!

It was a rainy and foggy day. We didn´t see the sun, at least the temperature was ok.

We were three. No dogs this time.

The weather was so bad when we got the col we decided to go to the refuge and wait. We sat a fire and ate something. The rain stoped for a wile, so we left our bags there to go faster and we started the ascent.

I found the route quite easier than the other one. In the summit I found a "buzón de cumbres", a summit post-box, there was a message inside. Some guys had climbed the peak the previous June. They were complaining because of the hot we didn´t have.

Route Climbed: Salamón-East summit Date Climbed: 26-January-2003  Sucess!

My friend Luis took me there to show me the peak. We knew many use to go to the top of the Llerenes peak, so we wanted to try. We didn´t have any guide and we didn´t know any route. At least, one local dog followed us so the Luis´dog, Roni has a friend. A white dog. We were two men and two dogs, nice team.

The day was sunny but cold. We get the col and Luis started to look for a way to the top. It stated going to the East... only vertical wall, impossible for us.

He managed to find a narrow corridor between rocks (on the photos you have the picture).

At the top of the corridor we had to climb two and a half metres of snow. It was horrible for my hands. I was really cold and my hands were killing me, completely wet.

Only some minutes later we reached the top, took some photos and had lunch. The weather was really cold, and the wind blew strongly. In fact I could see peaces of frozen snow flying in the air. At first I thought they were plastic bags...

It was an incredible day.
