This photo was taken during a solo spring ascent of Lone Peak April 25, 2013. This was ascent #1 of 21 so far this year for 2013. Snow conditions were perfect.

Ridge

You sure seem to have gotten over any hesitation you might have had regarding that ridge. Looks beautiful! I'm looking forward to a new season of snow.

Thanks Judy, I'm ready for the seasons to change too. That ridge has always seemed intimidating. Our WMC trip up there in 2012 was a real confidence builder. During the first four ascents up there this year while there was snow, it seemed a matter of just committing to the ridge and focusing on good placement instead of looking down the precipices to either side. .

Once the sun baked the snow and consolidated it pretty good is when things got real interesting... my toes are still sore from the step kicking. :)
