Contrary to popular belief, Mount David and Mount Jonathan were not named after poets. But Whittier, Longfellow, Poe, and Irving definitely were.

Re: Mount David...Along the same line, I'm guessing he also named Mt. Saul. King Saul was Jonathan's father
