..tells a story

Great photo, Herb - A very pretty picture and really helpful route-finding, especially given your excellent description of orientation, location and horizon. Every photo should be annotated this way.

I imagine that Bivacco Rossi-Volante is the dot on the prominent snow crest running up and right from the centre of the picture? A party of four climbers can be seen on the crest above the Bivacco.
