Looking down...

...at the way we came, you can see my truck at the saddle where the road then drops over into the next canyon and also parts of the steep bench road as it snakes its way down the mountain. The drive back down wasn't as nervewracking as the drive up. One advantage we had was I could see Mark Nichols vehicle tracks on the way up.
