Lookout Peak from Fort Selden
Lookout Peak (elev. 5,648 ft.) as seen from the adobe ruins of the Fort Selden State Monument near Radium Springs, New Mexico. Fort Selden was built in 1865 to protect Mesilla Valley settlers from outlaws and Apache Indians. It was decommissioned in 1891. Photo taken 4/6/08.
