Lots of gear

Lots of gear

I don't think Stephanie realized that there were more than 2 gear loops on this sling.... Pitch 6, Open Book, Dissapointment Peak, Teton Range.

Grivel Manu !

I and one of my ice partners uses the Grivel Manu too ... all the gear loops on it makes it easy to carry way too much gear :)

Haha! It's such an awesome little pack! I got it for $15! I don't think we had too much gear by any means, she just didn't see the other gear loops for some reason....

Re: Grivel Manu !

Cool. My ice buddy seems to have his system dialed, but I'm still working on it ... I like to put the smaller gear in the top loops, slightly larger in the second from top, skip the third, put belay stuff in the bottom loops, and rack large gear, draws, etc. on my harness. How do you like to do it ?

Re: Grivel Manu !

I skip the top loops, load smaller gear such as nuts and stoppers and smaller hexes on the second from top loop, all cams up to 3 or 4 on the third loop, really big cams and cowbell hexes (if needed) on the 4th. I put belay stuff on my harness usually, but often by the end of a 10 or more pitch climb, nothing is where it started!
