Is this the Italian version

of the Grand Canyon ???

What is the brown colour coming from ??

this is a picture of late fall. So where in summer the meadows are green they are brown now. The orangs tone on the left slopes are larch trees (see this album).
Generally the Vinschgau valley is a very dry one and some parts of the southern slopes form sort of a desert.
