Lower Walton Lake

This is the lower Walton Lake from the trailhead above. From here a trail drops down to the lake and another, non-system trail goes south on the ridge toward Grave Peak. The trail only lasts for a little over a mile, then its cross country on the ridge for about three miles. Walton Lake is 265 feet deep, which is a phenomenal depth for a mountain lake. July 2009
