Luvenga-Tundra is one of the table mountains of Kolvitskie Tundras (the word Tundra actually comes from the local Saami tongue where it means just a mountain ... by extension, a typical kind of the above-timberline terrain of a mountain). The Kolvitsi, as they are known in shorthand, is one of the least known mountain ranges of Kola Peninsula of Russia, a true hidden jewel of White Sea fiords and garnet-sand lake beaches.
