Climbed on way to Gestola - approach from Georgian side  Sucess!

Approached from southern Zanner pass (3850m, arrived 8:15am) with magnificent views south east along Bezingi Wall and due east to Dych Tau (5200m). From the pass successions of shale and snow which steepen up to the first of the rock bands. Attained the rocks (loose, improving higher) and moved upwards, taking the first running protection some distance up to protect a steep rocky traverse, with good hand holds. Still lots of loose rock as we continued higher on rock. The crux was a traverse and a chimney climb on decent rock towards the top of the rock triangle on the north face, equipped with holds and protected from above by a sling. Having reached the top of the triangle we moved over a succession of snow slopes and rocks to reach the summit at 11:40am in perfect conditions for excellent views of Dych Tau and the Bezingi Wall again, and now also of the hanging glaciers of Tetnuld’s wild north and east faces.
