machhapuchre ( 6997m)

Nobody stood on this summit ever. it's a very holy mountain for the Hindu's and Budhists. It's climbed once till 50 m under the summit. After that nobody climbed it again.

Great photo

Is this the same as Machapuchar? I understand it means "Fish Tail" In either case this is an exceptional photo.

Yes indeed, in Nepal you can write lot of names in different ways, because it was taken over from the phonetic way. the mountain is also called fishtale because of the form of the mountain. ( you can't see it from this site)
