Male Desert Bighorn

On Grand Canyon's North Kaibab trail, this young male desert bighorn sheep was coming down as we were heading up. As you can see, he was right on the trail, blocking our passage. This was at a really good swimming spot in Bright Angel Creek, just up from the Clear Creek trailhead. We thought he would pass while we were way off the trail in the creek, but it seemed he was very cautious about our backpacks which were still sitting on the trail. 02 August 2009.
