Many Pools to Cable Mountain

Ascending the canyon ending just to the left of Point 6901, gain the plateau and then strike out slightly northeast until you reach the trail, which is the Deertrap Mountain Trail. Go left for that peak, but go right for Cable Mountain and then turn left at the trail junction. The 6940' summit of Cable Mountain is shown, but the trail drops another 500' to an overlook on the rim of Zion Canyon. Zion National Park, UT
