Map of the route I took to Green Knob. I used Little Sam Trail to Sam Knob Summit Trail to Flat Laurel Creek Trail to Mountains to the Sea Trail to Green Mountain Trail. You can make the trip much shorter by just catching Mountains to the Sea Trail at 215 and hiking into Middle Prong Wilderness at that point.
