Marion Lake

Marion Lake

A view of Marion Lake in the Grand Tetons and the apparently-unnamed tall, rocky thing behind it. This photo is taken from the backcountry campground there and shows why it's popular. Depending on your itinerary it's one of the first nights on the Teton Crest Trail. Photo taken July 2005.

Nice Photo

This is a very beautiful lake. The east face of Peak 10,116 is what is seen in the photo. It’s part of the ridge that is connected to Housetop Mountain. The actual summit is farther behind.

Re: Nice Photo

Yup, and peak 10,116 is unnamed on my map -- but, as I've learned from you on another peak, "unnamed on my map" is not the same as "unnamed." ;)
