Summit of Mary's Rock -- a mountain about 3,300ft in height off of the Appalachian Trail. Hike is moderate in difficulty with an approximate 1,100ft elevation gain.
Looks quite exposed under that rocky nubbin. But then again, without a measured amount of risk, why pursue the heights? You can get your aerobics on a treadlymill at sea level. Boring option though. Welcome to SummitPost ! 10/10 for the nice pic.
Hey, thanks! It was quite icy that day, but the climb up to the nub was not too difficult — just a little more steep the way I went, but the less icy option. The photo was the hardest part! I’ll be measuring more risk here in the future, but will always stay as safe as I can.
Thanks for the welcome!
