Matt on the Summit

Matt sitting on one of the summit rocks of Mission Peak, Bay Area, California. In the background is a line of "Facebookers" waiting for their turn to be photographed next to "The Post"- a silly landmark on the lower north summit of Mission Peak. We (my wife, son and I) had hiked up the east side from Sunol Wilderness. A fun and less popular route up the peak. Matt got extra credit in his PE class at Newark Jr. High School for proving (with this photo) that he had hiked up the mountain. This was actually his 5th trip to the summit since the first time when my wife and I took him up there when he was only about a year old.
