Maurienne in the French Alps

These are the photos that I took during my holiday (February 2010) in the village of St Francois Longchamps (1650m), a small village above the Maurienne Valley. It is situated between the Belledonne Group (in the West) and the Vanoise Mountains. (in the East) Many beautiful peaks like Aiguilles d'Arves, Pic de l'Etendard, La Grande Casse and Aiguilles D'Argentiere make up for great views. These views are collected in this album, enjoy!

Re: I second that!

I just found out it's a Canon PowerShot you use - same as I do! Mine is the PowerShot G10, also a fantastic little machine...

Re: I second that!

Yes I use the Powershot SX-200 IS, it's in my opinion one of the best cameras of compact size. It fits in your pocket while climbing mountains but still has a 12X optical zoom lens in it!
The G10 btw is an awesome machine!
