May 12, 2004. Looking up to where the main trail tops out on the ridge. The avalanches are very new, probably the ones I heard early in the morning. To the right of the big one was a fresh fracture line that looked like it would release soon. Just right of the fracture was a rock rib that allowed a snow free route to the ridge.
