McMillan Peak offers great back country ski opportunities for beginner skiers. It has gentle slopes, averaging 25 degrees, and relatively low avalanche risk. But - always check conditions... McMillan is easy to identify - it has that huge rectangular device on its summit (some kind of radio transmitter).
