Mega-belay

Mega-belay

Eric and I did what I guess you could call simul-belaying to get Toby down the 9,000+ ft. 40-45 degree face, which is in some movie about being the longest ski run in the world. We each took a picket, then speed rappelled down to the next belay station, and man was it fun. This is a pic of the second pitch looking over my toes. We dropped him 6,000 ft. in about 90 minutes - as he walked backwards - without being able to see - without falling once... Go Toby - go!!! Mt. Shasta 9/4/10
