Mellow meadows above (north) of Bear Lake accent the beginning of the Indian Creek Trail in the Culebra Range, near Cuchara. Teddys Peak can be climbed by taking a left at the saddle and heading west up over Steep Mt. to a gentle connecting ridge. Going right at the saddle at the top of the gentle slope will offer a great view of Cuchara and the valley below.

The trail to the saddle follows up the left side mostly in the trees, a favorite place for our family.
