Mera High Camp

Mera High Camp

High Camp, at 5800m, at the east side of the rocky outcrop that separates the Mera glacier from the Naulekh glacier. We were only 2 parties that day. When we came back from the summit next day there was a huge (25+) group incl. porters. Resulting in some chaos. So we did brake down our tents and proceeded to base camp the afternoon. You better camp on the glacier then, good site as well. Also, please do not spoil this unique place by littering etc. Some so called 'montaineers' are that tired that they use the very next empty tent platform to do their business. Never heard of sleep high, sh*** low ? October 2006.
