On the very inviting Mesquite Sand Dunes near Death Valley's Immigrant Entrance, actually near Stove Pipe Wells, CA. A nice place to relax, warm up in the sun, and swim in a heated pool after being on Whitney a day or so before. Barefoot on the dunes, too.
