What side?Nice photograph! Planning to do this one next summer (actually had it in mind for this year, but there were so many things to do in Saas).
This seems to be the only picture taken from another side then the north, or am I mistaking? Where was this picture taken? What route?

This photo is showing the west ridge and taken from during the normal route up to Mettelhorn. It is the small icefield between the saddle and the summit. You can easily spot it on the 25:000 map "Randa" (1328).
Mettelhorn offers beautiful views, especially on the Matterhorn. Good food and accomadation at the Hotel Trift. By the way, thanks for your log on Jägihorn!!
