Here's a shot looking up from about midway. See what I mean by steeper than it looked from afar. The route really started to get steeper and more firm at this point and made for some fun front pointing. 2-20-06

Naked Gulley?

This looks like one of the gaps between the rock pinnacles atop Baldy Bowl that we call Naked Gulley because of an ascent we did in the '70s wearing only crampons, boots, mitts, ice axe, pack and balaclava. It was one of those "hot & sunny" days.
