Impressive view!I didn't quite make it to the top of
Mammoth Mt, the last time I was driving
through several years ago. I did catch
a view of the Minarets, but not as much
snow as pictured here. What I did see
was a 'steam plume' coming from
somewhere high ON Mammoth Mountain.
I reported it to the rangers, and they
said it wasn't anything to worry about.

Re: Impressive view!Thanks Larry. It's a beautiful view towards the jagged Minarets from Mammoth Mountain. It is not as near as the picture suggests (courtesy of a nice zoom). I personally did not see one of the many fumaroles on Mammoth Mountain this time. Cheers.
