Mineral King to Black Kaweah...

Mineral King to Black Kaweah approach, part 2 of 2. From Little Five Lakes Basin, the route drops down into Big Arroyo. Black Kaweah is the gigantic monolith in the northeast corner of this map. Normal access to the mountain is via Nine Lakes Basin, just off the map to the north. I guess the normal approach to the East Ridge of Black Kaweah has climbers ascending to "Pyra-Queen Col" (informally named in Secor's book). To get to Crescent Meadow, go over Kaweah Gap, which is the highpoint on the north edge of the map, and simply follow the High Sierra Trail for 21 miles to its terminus.
