Minnesota's Highpoint

Eagle Mountain, 2,301' above sea level, is Class One and is our country's 37th highest state highpoint. My 45th HP. Eagle Mountain is located in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. It rained 7" prior to my arrival. The wooden planks over the normally peaceful streams were useless. I didn't drive all the way from southern Illinois just to retreat since the trails were flooded. At times, I couldn't tell if I was 'on route' or hiking up the overflowing stream. I should have brought a canoe along.
