Suffer-fest  Sucess!

Climbed with Craig, Will, and Jake. Smoky from a lot of area fires. This mountain sure has a lot of scree and talus! Oh, and there's the bushwack too....so much fun and games lol Bonus of a brief side hike to Margaret Lake

Glenns Lake (Head)  Sucess!

Climbed with 4 others from a basecamp at Glenns Lake (Head). Fires are permitted there, so in my opinion this is the best place to stay for any approach from Mokowanis Lake. We hiked in from the Belly River TH and encountered no difficulties on the hike in, aside from a brief thunderstorm that forced us to hunker down in the trees at the Cosley Lake campground for about an hour.

Started at 7am the next day. Unfortunately, we missed the standard route on our way up, and began climbing in earnest too far south and west of the proper approach gully. We easily made our way through the algal reef, but found ourselves ascending a very sketchy, class III/IV gully to gain the northeast ridge. From there, we connected with the standard route. On the return we went all the way to the saddle on the northeast ridge and had no difficulties whatsoever following the standard route back to Mokowanis Lake.

Ran into a bull moose near the foot of Glenns Lake on our hike out... he was very ornery and we actually had to leave the trail and bushwhack to the shore of Glenns Lake to avoid him. 3 days, 2 nights, lots of fun!
