You should really have more recognition of your photography skills! I'm deeply impressed and now driven to submit better pics. Thank you for sharing these masterpieces of art!
You by far are my favorite photographer not only on SP, but on the entire intarwebs. It's quite rare for climbers to heft about the bulk of a real camera these days, being so obsessed with every ounce in their pack.
Thanks Sergio. The camera used is a Nikon D90 with a Sigma 18-50 2.8 lens. You can find a lot more info on my photography in the mountains on http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/mountain-climbing.shtml
Great trip report, but this one stands out above many others because of the pictures. Your photographs are amazing! Do you have them in HQ available for download or purchase? I'd love to print a few of them and hang them in my house.
I agree with the others'comments about the amazing pics. But for me the trip report was the really outstanding. You described the tour so well from all aspects! I really enjoyed reading it.
Don't you think that it was a bit hazardous to do this solo climb? With limited technical experience in this environment, after having the rescue accident, and solo? I wouldn't have dared to do it in these circumstances...
I believed (and still do) that I had the necessary skills and experience to safely solo a route this moderate: it's only rated PD, was in great condition and the weather forecast was as good as it gets. I was also prepared to turn around as soon as things would start to go wrong.
In retrospect, I still think that pushing solo was a correct decision, though of course, others might disagree.

Night shotI like the night shot of Mont Maudit very very much. Well done!
Some of the other pictures are IMHO more art than photography, excessive contrast and saturation. But... very nice - 10 stars!
Cheers!
Sebastian

Re: Night shotI don't make a difference between art and photography, though I certainly do not consider myself a photojournalist.

Re: Night shotYour pictures are surreal, that's the difference. Not the real world.

Better than Marc Adamus, Art Wolf, et alYou by far are my favorite photographer not only on SP, but on the entire intarwebs. It's quite rare for climbers to heft about the bulk of a real camera these days, being so obsessed with every ounce in their pack.
Aperture First is unparalleled.
Carry on.

Carrying a camera up is a sacrifice, but I believe that at the end of the day, it is well worth it.
