After 2 days of learning to tele, in the BC no less, decided to spend the day, for the most part in the trees since it was a bit blustery.

From Apex
The wife pup and I headed up from Apex. The road was packed down from snowmobiles making for a quick ascent so we didn't take our snowshoes...that made for a bit of a tough ascent breaking through some waist deep snow. But wow, the views were worth it!

quick jaunt to finish the central city quad. views of james peak's north face are fabulous!

Great areaHiked this one with my family. The summit is amazing and Elk Park is a great area.
