Monte Scinauz is rather a sad story in my mountaineering "career". Some two decades and more ago I noticed this fascinating mountain shrouded in mystery, remotely situated and obviously hardly accessible. I dreamed about it, climbed the nearby Monte Schenone only to observe Scinauz's walls and ravines glittering in the sun, but for well known reasons, it was impossible to climb it. Today, when I'm getting too old for such long and arduous adventures, I feel gloomy in my heart. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied and even proud that seven (!!!) of my friends and acquaintances climbed Monte Scinauz on two different routes in the same beautiful summer day.

Thank you, Andrej, for your kind words! Yes, that was one of those happy days for Jasmina and me, when a long deserved mountain was summited. We still lacked some important information, but persisted. Also the decision to do a two day tour was a good one. How surprised I was when a few days later I heard from Haubi that they were on top just after us that day, read Urska's description and later found also Igor's description of his ascent. Scinauz is getting even somewhat too popular, but that's ok. Today I player 24 hours of basketball and I'm tired, but already have the route description also prepared.

But you are exaggerating a bit. Yes, I collected this information on purpose, but only what I could find on the web. And it happened, that after doing the tour I immediately noticed two web pages of Slovenian mountaineers, who came on top just recently.
