Thank you. Yes that makes for a good contrast and is actually quite common in the Dolomites.

Layering

This is a nice picture! What causes the interesting layering of the snow? It seems like it only snows in the middle of the mountain.

Thanks for the comment. Actually there is no snow in this photo, but the white scree of the Dolomite rocks can be mistaken for snow!
