I did not go all the way to the true summit since there was a lot of snow and I didn't have the appropriate gear. I stayed at the Alyeska Resort below the mountain. It's a really beautiful area.
Climbed up the ski/running/biking trails up to the summit of Mt. Alyeska with Rick Zelinsky.
I have no Idea what route I climbed. I was in Girdwood and simply decided to go up there, and ...
Climbed solo twice.
The first time I continued on to Baumann Bump and descended back through alders to the ski area.
The second time I ascended from the True Summit of Mount Alyeska (4423) over Virgin Point (4226) to Point 3939 (Mount Alyeska on the map) and then down to the tram. I found an unexploded mortar shell on the ridge during the descent and reported it to the ski resort personnel.
