Mummy Mania
Started at 3am with my buddy, Ben Kiser. So cool to hike under so many stars—never have seen so many on a hike before. Loved it! Made it to Chapin and marked off the 1st of 6th on the Mummy Mania route.

Mummy Kill Peak 1
3 am start to the Mummy Kill with Jesse Sumrak. Got up to Chapin by 4 am. Not much to see in the dark, but the stars were especially vibrant. We even saw the Milky Way!
Hiked Chiquita and Ypsilon a few years back with my little bro, but we skipped Mount Chapin. I (with our 4 year old on my back) and my wife (with our 1 year old on her back) trudged up this pleasant trail/talus hop to the beautiful summit of Mount Chapin this time. My childrens' first mountain summit, it feels good to pass on my love of the high mountains to my kids.

CCY first!
Wonderful hike and a terrific afternoon with amazing views and lots of wildlife. On top of Chapin be sure to head back west and look down at the spires. Be careful not to descend to much on the way back from Ypsilon in order to pick up the trail between Chiquita and Chapin.

Mummy Masochism
Peak 1 of 8, did a variation of "Mummy Mania" we dubbed "Mummy Masochism" because we tacked 2 bushwhack 11ers on to the end. Appx 19 miles, 7000 vertical - climbed Chapin, Chiquita, Ypsilon, Fairchild, Hagues, Mummy, Tileston and Bighorn.

Out of Shape
Just climbed Chapin b/c we were short on time, but a good reminder that I am really fat and out of shape. Altitude kicked my butt since I had only been in Estes for a day

CCY from Chapin PassThis was the first of three peaks on an incredibly beautiful September day. One of my favorite months to climb in Colorado.

Mummy Mania AttemptAttemted Mummy Mania and made it as far as Chiquita before turning back due to winter-like winds up on the ridge.
