On the Mummy Mania route. Hike from Chapin to Chiquita got a bit breezy between the saddle, and I was pretty cold by the time we hit the summit. Wish I could have seen how epic and beautiful Chapin and Ypsilon are from the top—but great 2nd peak of the day.
Got up here around five am after a 3 am start with Jesse Sumrak. Once again in the dark. Beautiful night sky and lights along the Front Range.
Oops. Unranked, but easy add on.

Great day with great friends!
7/10/16 Chiquita, Ypsilon, Chapin with Zach
5/28/16 SE Ridge. A fun way to the summit! Route finding in the trees on the way down was quite a challenge. Snowshoes were necessary. With Jim Matt.
Great day in the mountains with wife and another couple. Perfect weather
Any day above tree line is a good day.
2nd peak of the day, Beautiful september morning!
Enjoyed his as the middle of three peaks on an amazingly lovely, sunny September day!
2nd of seven!
Mad'er to da top! Hope my marmot friends are doing well.
Attemted Mummy Mania and made it as far as Chiquita before turning back due to winter-like winds up on the ridge.
#2 .. real windy
A windy warmup with nice views.
Wonderful hike and a terrific afternoon with amazing views and lots of wildlife. On top of Chapin be sure to head back west and look down at the spires. Be careful not to descend to much on the way back from Ypsilon in order to pick up the trail between Chiquita and Chapin.
Trying to summit Desolation peaks but was turned back, so I found myself at a taller, shorter destination instead
Chapin pass as usual
Peak 2 of 8, did a variation of "Mummy Mania" we dubbed "Mummy Masochism" because we tacked 2 bushwhack 11ers on to the end. Appx 19 miles, 7000 vertical - climbed Chapin, Chiquita, Ypsilon, Fairchild, Hagues, Mummy, Tileston and Bighorn.
