Mount Deception is - I think?? - the peak on the right (most of it is out of the photo). This shot is looking south from 3rd class ledges 800 feet above Royal Basin (on left out of photo) and at the foot of the Sundial Peak (above to the right; Sept. 2003).

Yeah, we did not bag Clark on that trip (route finding issues for Belvedere Basin) but are planning to return to the area next summer, spend two nights and try to bag Deception and Clark (this time via the standard class 3 route).

which one is it? is it that sort of two pointed summit just right of photo's center in the far background?



As a fellow Nikon digicam user, that's not a good thing to hear! How long have you had the camera before it started acting up on you? Wonder what kind of customer service they have. The 5400 unit is on the order of $900 if I remember? I'd be seriously pissed off even if my camera (less than 1/2 of that) started giving me problems. Curious how that turns out.
