Mount Ellis seen from the summit of Little Ellis, Gallatin Range MT

Little Ellis and it’s brother Mount Ellis(also called big Ellis) are located in the Gallatin Range of southwest Montana. They are some of the most easily accessible backcountry peaks near the city of Bozeman. They are great for getting many laps and a good workout in, and are generally safer than other nearby peaks when the avalanche danger is high.
