Nice page good work. I keep scanning your images looking for Mount Howard. Cheers William
I like these mountains that aren't climbed very much. I happen to also be allergic to people.
Dow, is your goal to climb every mountain in the Canadian Rockies? It seems like you're adding a new one everyday. I think this is a good thing though.
Good question Gazelle.
I did not really start adding mts to SP until early May of this year even though I signed a log or two last year. So quite a few of my adds are mts I might have climbed during the past few years. My minimum is 40 mts per year. My ultimate goal is 1,000,000 new feet in 6 years starting January 1, 2003. That means not including repeats. I sort of have a publishing deal for a book if I decide to pursue such.
I find there are two types of climbers, those that want to perfect a route and will climb it several times over which include most of my climbing partners and then the oddball like me who wants to experience as much new backcountry as possible. So I end up doing a lot solo. I mix technical climbs with many scrambles throughout the year and will not count any hikes or walk ups. The average elevation gain is averaging 3900'. I thank god everyday for these knees.
Nice page, pretty pics. I hope to visit Alberta again some day, for climbing not for business.
Every day I look forward to visiting summitpost because I know your awesome pages are coming up. Another winner.
Nice page Dow!
