Long day hike from Crystal Lake to Baden Powell and Back. Quick stop up at Mount Hawkins for some views and then continue on.
Great views all around from the top!
From Dawson Saddle, hit Hawkins then Middle Hawkins
Nice views. Meant to go all the way to Baden-Powell but turned around at Throop.
After Islip and Middle Hawkins.
Heather and I parked below Windy Gap at 7am and then hiked up Baden-Powell, Burnham, Throop, Hawkins, Middle Hawkins, and Islip. We got back to the car at 2pm and then drove around hiking up Akawie, Winston, and Lewis. The next day we did both summits of Twin Peaks as well as Waterman.
Missed summit due to beginner's silliness. I was unsure where the top was and failed to bring a topo map. Hike was still well worth it.
Over Throop en route to Copter Ridge with Lewis after. Nice 7-hour day.
Part of 5-peak traverse of the Hawkins Ridge from Dawson Saddle. #2 in sequence.
hit all 3 hawkins with some of the SEEING TRAILS HIKE GANG via windy gap. Fun hikie.
Part of nice traverse beginning at Baden-Powell ending at road below Windy Gap.
Had to do it.
On a bump-tagging expedition from Vincent Gap to Islip.
kinda tough to find the summit. started at dawson saddle, took that to the pct and along the windy gap ridge. summit was anticlimactic but the area leading up to it is beautiful...and windy!
out and back from islip saddle to baden-powell. 17 miles rt with 3800' gain. baden-powell, burnham, throop, and hawkins.
#2 on Islip Saddle to Vincent Gap 5-peak traverse.
Starting at Islip Saddle, tagged Throop first, then Hawkins Middle Hawkins and Islip and done! Icy trails conditions on the lower section, then no need from crampons cuz there was barely any snow!!!!
Cold and foggy with some nice snow on PCT between Islip and Hawkins.
Hiked along with Mount Burnham on a HOT day!
From MM 66.38 to Mt. Islip, Mt. Hawkins, Throop Peak, Mt. Burnham, Mt. Baden-Powell and back.
