After Finishing Bare Mountain decided to check this one out since I was in the area. A nice quick one with a large flat summit plateau. Nice views but nothing outstanding. On to Mount Emma.
From Little Pines Loop campground, area has lots of boulders and stuff to climb on...
fun xc route due to locked gate.
Easy out and back from Highway 2. Impossible to say where the highpoint is on the summit, though I did find the register. Views were eh.
An OK hike on a very HOT April afternoon!
Nice short hike, but not really any views from the top (not that I could tell exactly where the top was).
Tagging HPS peaks in the area. Trip Report
Many times with the wife and kids.....even dragged my sister-in-law up, set-up the tent and listened to her snore! I found one of the mattress people's bud in a baggy on Earth Day 2007!
The high point is very indeterminate. There's probably 10 points all vying for the highest spot. Views are about the same from all of them - mediocre, except for the extreme S end of the ridge, which is pretty decent.
Pleasant hike with many boulders.
I hiked this one in 2005 or so with Bare.
On the way to Pasadena on the AC100 07
This was a decent hike on a nice day.
I've run and hiked over this minor peak so many times I've lost count. Part of the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance Run course.
Boulders are cool. With Travis
On a mountain bike outing, we did Barley Flats, Vetter Mtn. and Hillyer.
Found the most amazing site ever for snowplants. Tons of snowplant covering the ground.
A nice, cool early morning climb. We started at 6:30 am and didn;t see anyone along the trail. We hiked up from the southeast and followed the ridge north to the rood as a loop. Check out the GPS tracks.
