Lots of people up here on a misty spring weekend. Great view of the Hollywood sign, marginally so for everything else. Have always wanted to go back for clearer views... judging from comments here, seems like that'd be right after a rain.

Quick jaunt

Easy up before Cahuenga & Lee
Ran up easy before some intervals around the observatory and then went over and hammered out Cahuenga and Mt Lee up to the HOLLYWOOD sign.
Up from Fern Dell Drive to the observatory and then on up to the summit. Nice pleasant hike with my favorite companion. Views were mostly good this nice spring morning.

with Lee and Cahuenga
Hiked with Caren, Andrea, and my youngest niece, Hanna. From the observatory after climbing up a steep use trail and hopping the fence from the Fern Dale parking lot. Found the correct route on the return.

From Beachwood Dr.
Mid-week workout: took Hollyridge trail to Mulholland, then went over Chapel and Bell before finishing in the dark on Hollywood. Spectacular views of city lights. Ran back down.

Quick up and down
Zipped up to the top from the Observatory. Great view of the smog. The mountains are really beautiful, it's just too bad they are shrouded in such a thick haze.

Hiked in the afternoon after morning rains which made for an exceptionally clear view and few people. Who knew LA could be beautiful???

From Griffith Observatory
I used to live near the Rose Bowl, but never took the time to hike this mountain. Well finally, we flew into Orange County and drove up to the Observatory. We hiked the road up to the top and then took the steep trail down. Lots of people and of course great views of downtown LA.
