On my first visit to Joshua Tree, I knew I wanted to see the view over the lip down to Palm Springs. Being a crowded NP free day, we decided to hike up the hill to leave the crowd behind. When we reached the summit, we found a rock with an arrow fashioned out of copper wire placed on top of the summit. While Alicia was taking a sunset picture of the art piece left behind, I placed her grandmother's engagement ring on the arrow. Needless to say, I'll never forget this hike!
Fabulous views from this enjoyable ridgeline hike!
A fun 4 day trip with Heather along with some rock climbing routes.
Quick little leg stretcher.
Fun little side trip while checking out JTNP for the first time.
Easy hike from Keys View with great views. Saw 6 big horn sheep also!
2010 - solo.
A great way to make the best of a cold morning camping i Joshua Tree
Easy jaunt from Keys View, and the view can't be beat.
Nice, quick hike with cool views of the Coachella Valley. Last peak of the day after Ryan, Queen, and Lost Horse.
A little windy!!
The benchmark was farther back than I was expecting. Nice hike.
Hiked from Keys View. It was snowing on Mount San Jacinto but I got a good view of the Salton Sea from the summit.
Started early at 6:15am from Keys view to beat the heat and it was quite pleasant. The area was absolutely deserted except for the big snake i almost stepped on. Very nice views of the coachella valley and San Jacinto. Even at a moderate pace only took about 1.5 hours roundtrip. Register is still there, but not too many summer visitors have signed.
Great view for a small amount of effort.
An easy jog after spending the day with family in JT, also did Ryan.
Great view of the Salton Sea and Joshua Tree NP
Hiked up with my wife and daughter (on my back) and mgeo and his wife. Nice hike, beautiful weather and great views. After multiple false summits we found the highpoint along with USGS marker and register.

Took a break from climbing in JT and drove out to bag this peak as part of my quest to get 25 of the hundred peaks hikes done this year. The log books going back to 1985 were an extra treat.
