2nd times the charm
From Del Valle, after crossing over Discovery stayed on the road on the ridge all the way over to Challenger. Went cross country from Challenger to Lake at Hamilton Flat, then cross country up Mt. Lewis. Would not advise using this route, better to avoid lake and descend ranch road around lake, then cross country. 23 miles and 6,000 elev gain on the day, 8:49 car to car. TR is HERE.

Caught by landowner
Came up from Del Valle, went over Discovery Peak and followed the road going south. Within 15 minutes a guy in a red jeep came up and told us that we were on private land and had to turn around. He then followed us in his jeep until we were back on Discovery. Wound up doing Rose Peak as a consolation. Cannot figure out how we were caught so easily, cameras on Discovery Peak maybe? Trip report is HERE

Nice hike from Del Valle
Came in via Del Valle, exiting the park before Williams Gulch and re-entering at the Eastern Most part of Ohlone before exiting again to visit Lewis. Came back a different route, hitting Discovery Peak in the process, making it as much as a loop as possible. 26 miles RT. Also visited the Lewis Benchmark, which is not at the summit. Fun!
