Glad to finally get to climb this peak, been wanting to do so for a long time. Awesome views all the way from the Guadalupes to the Chisos.
My first attempt was plagued by thunderstorms. I came back two weeks later on a beautiful day for a perfect summit. It is currently my favorite summit trip. Its worth looking into.
After driving past miles and miles of beautiful mountains in Texas that are unaccesible as private property, I really appreciated the access made possible to these mountains by TNC.
Great day trip/hike, best comprehensive view of West Texas. Guadalupe Mtns and Chisos Mtns visable.
A great climb from the standard route that turned into a very long descent via Tobe Gap.
It was an easy climb. Good weather. Steep at times and a little scrambling at the end. LOTS of bugs at top. Its fun.
My wife and I climbed up Bridge Gap road to the summit and took the Limpia Chute trial back down.
Definitely worth the wait and the extra phone calls!
